Memories

Lol, so as you can tell I have made another long long absence from the blogging world. It's only been a year and a half, psh! Anyways, I title this post "Memories" because I was reading back at all of the old posts I had written and reading back on other people's old blogs... Good times is all I have to say. I wonder if anyone will ever read this post or if I'm talking to myself. I feel like I'm in a ghost town. :] Leave a comment or something to let me know people are still alive out there!

Come and Gone

So, Christmas and the New Year have already come and gone. Crazy insane or insane crazy? When I say who say, you say Shady. Haha, anyways. Yeah, work is still slower than ever. I still have money left, granted it's mostly from Christmas gifts and whatnot.

I'm pretty excited for tomorrow. New episode of the Biggest Loser. I love that show! Last season was pretty boring and terrible so I hope this season isn't another let down! Anyways, I haven't eaten lunch yet so I'm going to go throw something together and consume it... have a good day!

Ahh, Back to Work

Well, back to work again I go. It's been about two years since I last worked for my uncle and father. Being lazy and not working was getting really annoying for me.

Monday or Tuesday of this next week is when I start. I'm working for my uncle again in the wallpaper hanging business. When you're out of shape like myself, the first few weeks are pretty tough. This work involves a lot of walking, stair climbing and most of all, standing. Wake up around 5:30 am or so and head to work around 6, work until lunch at around noon or so. Take that 30 minute break or so and then it's back to work until dark. Did I mention the only time you get to sit and actually rest is at lunch? The rest of the time you are on your feet slaving away.

I've been wanting to lose weight for a long time now, so what better way to lose weight than working all day and getting paid for it? The guys I work with usually eat fast food for lunch, so I will see if I can try and find maybe a subway or something so I can eat healthier. No fast food for me.

The job we're starting is in Newport, Oregon. So, it's most likely that I will have to pack for a few days since we will be out of town. I will be away from the internet (which will be good for me), some of my friends and family (except my dad, whom I work with) and more importantly, Whitney. She's happy for me that I'm going to start working again, but sad that I will be out of town this upcoming week. I'm sad as well, but I need to start working and making some money because I have plans of moving out, some time in the near future. I'm not exactly sure when I will be back from Newport, but I will try and blog when I have time! Until next time, have a great day!

The Little Things

I don't think anyone ever realizes how much they take the little things in this world for granted. Once you lose something you're so used to having, you almost don't know what to do or how to react. Losing a cell phone, your favorite piece of jewelry, your wallet or keys are just some of the things that would fall into this category. In my case, it was my windshield wipers.

I left to go meet my girlfriend at the Olive Garden about 15 minutes away from my house. I got in my car and left to go get gas. It was slightly raining at the time and my wipers were working just fine. I got my gas and got on the highway. Everything seemed to be fine for about 10 minutes before my wipers suddenly stopped working. By this time the little drizzle had turned into a steady rain. Being on the highway and doing 60 mph didn't help my visibility one bit. So the 15 minute ride to the Olive Garden suddenly turned into a 25 minute ride.

Well, at least I made it to Olive Garden and back home without getting in a crash (which I certainly thought would happen)! Have to fix my wipers at a later date.

And She is Gone...

So, yesterday turned out really well. Whitney came over at around 3 PM and we just spent the whole day together. My parents and grandparents were gone when she initially arrived because they were out shopping. When they got back, they surprised Whitney with a few gifts of their own for her birthday. My parents had gotten her a cute little sweater type winter coat and my grandparents got her two blouses. Then I gave her my gift.

I ended up getting her a heart shaped necklace along with a birthday card. She really really liked it and that made me happy. The only regret I have is not doing a little more research on a nice restaurant I could have taken her to. I was hoping she would decide and everything since it was HER birthday, but she had to be a little difficult. I know her favorite place is Olive Garden but she didn't really feel like eating there on this night.

It was Saturday evening so I knew most nice restaurants were going to have a wait time. We stopped at Little Italy's to see how long the wait was. Fourty minutes. No thanks! Little Italy's is located right next to Applebees so we decided to check there to see how long of a wait it was. Ten minutes they said. So, we decided to just eat at Applebees but the wait wasn't even ten minutes long, it was more like two or three. We got seated, ate our meals and headed back home. It was a pretty good evening all in all!
